/signed for actually looked at, not demanded. They're busy and demanding things is just rude.
If you don't pvp then don't say it isn't a problem when every other balanced team you run into in HA is running a bot mes/ranger and you all /report and no action is taken.

There is no need to fix any of these bots. Banning players won't help either. Just join the botter and help make this community a better place. If everyone bots, we will all be on even field.
NOT SIGNED
In case you didn't notice, it's not BvB. It's PvP.
I shouldn't have to put my security and account at risk because you and several others are too lazy (or incompetent) to play the damn game yourself. If the game has become so boring that you can't stand to play it, UNINSTALL!
We are mainly talking about bots in pvp not pve, if you have no interest in pvp that's your decision but don't hate people that do care about the future of gw pvp. That said I've only seen bots in pve do farms for money and pve titles are more about doing things than money.
Oh I've had interest in pvp, however the only real pvp that I'm actually permitted to play in is ra. Sure my guild has screwed around in ha/gvg before but it's not exactly an environment conducive to newer players wanting to grab a group and struggle for a win. You might be able to fix the botting but you absolutely cannot fix the community. Anyway the entire reason I wrote my previous post was to provide a counter to the idea that this effects more than "high end" pvp and that only new players wouldn't care that this is going on.
Am I jaded? Yes. Does that invalidate my opinions? I hope not.
meaningful, visible ways for players to signal their accomplishments
Geez Martin, using your eloquent academic language can't mask the utter tripe you just wrote. Care to review? "meaningful"? "accomplishments"? Oh puh-lease!

even though it's equally clear that there is high demand for the existence of those signals.
High demand? Maybe it's time Anet took it upon themselves to look after all the morons in this game instead? The common player will sit hours straight doing the same "meaningful accomplishment" over and over as long as it's tied to a "progress bar". I'm sure if they made /age a title people would run their computers 24/7 and feel proud of their progress.
For those that say not signed, just admit you use it.
I understand the frustration of all this but some of you act as if this were the first game to gain a bot infestation and anet doesn't care at all, bullshit.
Every game will have bots and developers can only hope to stop exploiting somehow but let's face it, there are developers out there with money 20 fold compared to anet who still can't snuff out the rise of bots.
There is no fix it to this, there is no easy code alteration to stop it and even if there was the bot creators would bypass it, so consider that before you say RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO anet they don't care about it.
This is nowhere near as easy as it sounds, and todays generation is packed full of gamers that can't wait to cheat, or say "it's not my problem" it very much is your problem.
I want anet to ban every cheating little insecure twit but let's get real, it doesn't happen that way in any game, should we look forward to better management of this problem in GW2 absolutely, but this game is on a very frugal budget I don't expect much. Be glad it didn't get this bad when it really mattered.
We as gamers don't really help the matter at all, how many of you use it and don't tell, how many have seen fellow members or friends use a bot and looked the other way because "he's cool with me". Many are far from innocent but will claim to be until the end.
We as a community didn't speak up about this current bot rise until months after we truly knew what was going on, I saw it with my own eyes nothing but excuses "games dead" or "anet won't do anything go ahead" but now it's a problem because it affected you.
I /rr the chances of anet doing anything about this a long while ago. It has grown exponentially, not least each thread in here and other similar places bringing more attention to the subject each time.
When they didnt do anything about syncing in pvp areas, the writing was on the wall then. I got my gwamm what seems like years ago now and yes, I am sad that something I put the effort into is devalued.
Ive seen dedicated real farmers banned for botting and botters go untouched, so Ive given up on caring.... Id like to go earn some glad rank and increase my rank a couple of levels to 6, but think it isnt going to happen in the current situation.
Guild Wars is old, and the people making bots for GW have had 5 years to 'perfect' their craft. Even if ANet somehow finds a panacea for the current infestation of bots, it will be (literally) hours before a new release is out. The people running the bots don't, and usually aren't, intelligent. The people making the bots, however, are crafty devils who wait for developers to give them a new challenge. Once a challenge is issued, it has to be solved.
I agree that PvP sucks a bit in GW now, but if it upsets you that much, perhaps you should abstain from logging in for a week(or two), cool down, and <insert it's just a game comment here>.
GvG is still valid, and you can humiliate any guild who uses bots in an obvious fashion. Better yet, you can fight guilds you know/like, which offers plenty of opportunities.
To me, though, this is like going on D2 and whining that people are still duping. It's an old game, there were unforeseen loopholes in the code, and people will continue exploiting it. Same goes for GW.
im gonna /sign
im doing this mainly cause ive been around the game for a while and every time there is a bot increase it takes the vocalness of the guild wars community to see a lot banned. anet seems to only get on the ban wagon when the community screams about it and yes ive noticed more bots lately

The problem with bots is there devaluing title achievements, were only asking them to stall until gw2 comes out which then you wont be able to get any more HoM achievements, at least that's the impression I got from this article http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/10908.
Why would I sign this? I love when a ranger in PvP who is targeting one of my team mates and has his/her back to me whips around and d-shots me. Why would A-Net want to fix that? And I am not speaking about a good player. I am speaking about every time on certain skills. I shouldn't be forced to run anti-bot builds when I play honestly because I like the competition when it is run the way it should be run.
There is actually a really serious JQ botting problem right now. The last time I played (the other night) we won 10-0 almost 15 times in a row because most of the people on Luxon side were botting and don't even attempt to capture shrines.
I'm not exaggerating either... I'm sure other people on here can attest to that. It's easy to tell bots from people, because bots do things like use whirlwind when no one is near them, follow you around even if their build has no chance of doing any damage to you (eles casting meteor showing on my ranger while I just interrupt everything they cast), and always appear from the same portal and run to the same location.
Most of the bots you have listed here are PvP bots. I don't see why you would want to fix this; you can use this to your advantage. Bots are not that smart... Interrupt bots can easily be tricked if you cancel your skill before they interrupt you.
So by your logic doubling the energy cost of every important skill will render an interuptbot ineffective, mkay...

KSMod is not broken, it still works by just using it's own .dll instead of the one that GW originally used. I don't understand how it works but i know it's really not that simple to fix.
I'd like a proper response but it won't mean anything so /care.
Botting is against EULA and there is no arguing opinion with typed print...its cheating... Arena net needs to hold up its end of the deal... if they will they will or not I don't know... but i would doubt Anet will tip people off that have joined the cheating masses by saying something here.
